We are delighted to introduce our esteemed Healuxe Global Ambassadress for 2023, Ms. Hilda Puno. As a US Navy Veteran and an ardent proponent of holistic wellness and mental health, Hilda’s journey encompasses various roles, including being a model, actress, and esteemed leader in her community. Her selection as the Healuxe Global Ambassadress was a natural choice, as she epitomizes the core values of Healuxe, advocating for comprehensive well-being and Radiant Beauty from Within. Hilda’s daily life reflects these principles, and she has taken her message worldwide, inspiring women of all ages with her commitment to service and passion for living life to the fullest.
We had the privilege of sitting down with Ms. Puno, our Healuxe Global Ambassadress 2023, to gain insights into her perspectives on self-care, whole-person wellness, pro-aging regimens, healthy behaviors, and the pursuit of passions.


Healuxe: What were the three most memorable highlights of your experiences in 2022?

Hilda: 2022 was a remarkable year for me. Among the highlights, I thoroughly enjoyed volunteering with Charger Bolts, painting tiny homes for homeless military veterans. Additionally, being an extra in the Dr. Strange 2 Multiverse movie during the New York scene was a fun and exciting experience. Lastly, my work as a print petite model gracing the pages of various fashion magazines from Los Angeles, CA, to Europe was a dream come true.


Healuxe: Throughout your career, what have been the three most memorable moments, and why?

Hilda: My career has been an incredible journey, filled with meaningful experiences. Serving on active duty in the U.S. Navy, traveling to numerous countries, and protecting America during sea and shore duty against foreign and domestic threats were unforgettable moments. Working in Neurology Service and Vocational Rehabilitation for the federal government, assisting military veterans with memory loss, traumatic brain injury, and service-connected disabilities, has also been deeply rewarding. On a more creative note, seeing myself on three NY Billboards in Times Square and being featured in four magazines in Los Angeles and Europe as a print commercial petite model were unforgettable milestones.


Healuxe: As a wellness advocate, what is your mission and the message you wish to share with your audience?

Hilda: My mission is to inspire and lead others toward a greater good, focusing on the five pillars of positivity, mental health, wellness, pro-aging, and mentorship, to promote radiance from within. I believe in putting these principles into action and surrounding myself with positive people who share the same advocacy.


Healuxe: Could you share your wellness goals and daily regimen?

Hilda: Maintaining my wellness is crucial to me. I work out regularly, following a scheduled routine about three times a week. I am mindful of my diet, opting for healthy meals and snacks throughout the day. Listening to music during the day and binaural beats at night aids relaxation. Additionally, I enjoy listening to audiobooks and podcasts, supporting my holistic and natural approach to wellness.

Healuxe: In your opinion, what are the top three challenges in aging and maintaining a youthful appearance?

Hilda: The top three challenges in aging are physical health, mental well-being, and addressing ageism. Embracing aging with gratitude for the years we have loved, and looking forward to a healthy future while maintaining an optimistic outlook is essential. Moreover, protecting our skin and hair from sun exposure is crucial for preventing premature aging. Taking daily vitamins and nourishing our bodies from within also contributes to a more youthful appearance.


Healuxe: You appear to maintain a youthful look; could you share your top tips for looking ageless?

Hilda: I firmly believe that protecting our skin and hair from UV rays is fundamental to preventing skin aging. Additionally, ensuring our bodies receive essential nutrients through daily vitamins helps maintain a healthy appearance, both internally and externally. Taking care of ourselves from within radiates through our skin and overall aging process.


Healuxe: How do you define beauty, holistic wellness, and the difference between pro-aging and anti-aging approaches?
Hilda: To me, beauty is the radiance that stems from self-love and starts from within, reflecting outwardly. Holistic wellness involves nurturing our physical health through healthy eating, sufficient sleep, reiki energy therapies, and meditation prayers. Pro-aging is a positive approach to aging, accepting it while working with our bodies through moisture, antioxidants, and cell turnover to keep our skin looking its best. I appreciate natural pro-aging approaches, but I also respect individuals who choose cosmetic or invasive procedures. In contrast, anti-aging focuses on intrusive methods to halt or reverse the natural aging process.


Healuxe: What are your thoughts on maintaining a youthful appearance while embracing your age?

Hilda: Being comfortable with oneself is paramount. Practicing self-care and responsibility from an early age allows us to stay centered and focused in everything we do.

Healuxe: Could you share some tips on Whole Person Wellness and Radiant Beauty from Within?

Hilda: Embracing the concept that whole person wellness leads to a radiant beauty is essential. Understanding the significance of self-care and nourishing our bodies helps us look and feel our best. Consistent routines and a mindful approach can make a significant impact on our overall well-being.

Healuxe: Why do you believe mental health is crucial for overall wellness and aging?

Hilda: Mental health profoundly impacts overall wellness and aging. Dealing with daily stresses without effective coping skills can lead to premature aging and impact our internal well-being. Engaging in meaningful contributions to the community, maintaining physical health, and nurturing healthy relationships are pivotal in fostering mental well-being.

Healuxe: Could you share your self-care regimen with us?

Hilda: Self-care is more than indulgent activities. It starts with morning and bedtime meditation prayers to set the tone for the day. I also have a facial skincare routine and take daily vitamins. Taking time for myself during breaks and embracing simple, not expensive, self-care routines contribute to overall well-being.

Healuxe: What is your definition of self-love and responsibility?

Hilda: Self-love is about being mindful of what we allow into our lives and taking control of what we can while accepting what we can’t. Surrounding ourselves with positivity and staying optimistic on our life journey is crucial. Taking care of ourselves allows us to enjoy life to the fullest.

Healuxe: Could you tell us about the advocacies you support and why they are essential to you?

Hilda: I actively support several advocacies that hold significant meaning to me. The Veteran Sisters Organization provides hope and healing to survivors of military sexual trauma, a cause close to my heart. The House of MUSA aids those deprived of liberty and prisoners in jail institutions, supporting indigenous women from various local tribes who weave fabric called MUSA, creating clothing, bags, earrings, and shoes showcased in fashion shows worldwide for charity purposes. As an advocate for mental health, I stand behind Naturelle WellEarth as Ms. Naturelle Ambassadress. I also support my Christian church and its programs, and I volunteer with Go Teams in domestic violence shelters and prepare care packages for deployed military personnel. Moreover, being involved in life groups that support the Christian faith through Bible lessons is a vital part of my advocacy.
