The winner of the prestigious Miss Brazil Real Mrs 2023 pageant Natália Oliveira shared her emotions and experiences after winning the coveted title. She spoke about how she had been dreaming of becoming a beauty queen since her childhood and how hard work and perseverance helped her achieve her goal. Along with discussing the benefits and responsibilities of being a Miss, she also revealed the attitudes and beliefs that have helped her achieve success. Additionally, she spoke about her love life and her involvement in the charity work of the NGO “Beleza do Bem.” Finally, she discussed her upcoming plans, which include representing Brazil in the Miss Europe Continental international contest. Her story is a testament to the power of hard work, determination, and self-belief
What did you feel after winning such a prestigious beauty pageant like Miss Brazil Real Mrs 2023? Was it your dream? How long did you prepare for it? What benefits did the crown bring and what responsibilities did it entail?
The moment that I was announced as the winner I felt an intense sense of joy. My heart was beating so fast. It is hard not to be emotional after winning the contest. It is something really special!
I have been dreaming about it since my childhood. It was a dream that was dormant for a while because becoming a Miss seemed so out of my reach, but once in a while I would picture myself as a Miss. I feel like every little challenge on the way helped me to achieve my dream.
It was quite an intense prep for a year. I had a full schedule with different professionals helping me in many areas including public speaking, catwalk, English classes, gym, healthy diet, aesthetic treatments etc. I did my best to be ready with my A game at the day of contest. I am very grateful to have this experience.
The biggest benefit the crown has brought me is giving me a voice so I can influence others to follow their dreams. Regardless of what a girl has gone trough she can achieve her goals if she believes in herself. The crown also brought more visibility to the social work I have been developing, bringing more people alongside to help in such important matters. Another benefit has been the opportunity to meet and connect with so many people that is part of the Miss community. They are very dear to me.
Overall, being a Miss carries a great responsibility as I am representing the women in my city, in my country and ultimately in the world, as an ambassador. It has been quite a transformational experience for me. Currently I am very careful when I speak because I know I am representing a lot of women out there.
What phrases and attitudes help you achieve success? How do you encourage yourself in difficult times?
I really get inspired by something my father always says: “winning isn’t everything, but wanting to win is”. I believe that in order to achieve any kind of success one needs an inner strength and a willingness to be a winner. It is all about the right attitude and self-motivation. This attitude is very important for my mental health and wellbeing.
I am a strong believer in God and, in difficult times, I just trust in all the promises He has made to me. I know that He is always taking care of me and that He will never abandon me, especially in difficult times. I also believe that everything happens for a reason, even in hard times. Often we are going through a difficult moment and only afterwards we will realize the purpose of that moment.
How did you meet your love? You look incredibly happy together. What is the secret of your relationship? Are you similar or opposites who were attracted to each other?
I met the love of my life in a gathering with friends we had in common. Yes we are very happy indeed. There is no real secret, besides the love, it is all about trust and companionship. We both take good care of our relationship so it can last forever. When two people meet, love each other, and dedicate themselves to each other, the relationship will always be healthy and happy.
We are total opposites in personality, but our thoughts and opinions are incredibly similar. What attracted me to him was his posture, education, intelligence… in fact, there wasn’t anything specific but his whole behavior in general.
Tell us about Beleza do Bem and the charity work of this organization. When did you start getting involved, and what results are you particularly proud of?
The NGO “Beleza do Bem” which translates as Beauty for Good was created by the Miss Brasil Real contest, giving a purpose to this contest that is considered one of the main beauty contests in Brazil. All the Misses become ambassadors of the NGO Beleza do Bem during their reign and promote several social activities in their cities reaching as many people as possible. It is a real chain of goodness!
I got involved in this project in 2021 as soon as I was crowned Miss Real São Paulo, which is the city where I was born and currently live. At that time, I was designated as an ambassador of the NGO and soon started working on social campaigns. I already had the main objective of becoming Miss in order to reach lives through social actions. I have always been very sensitive to the suffering of others due to social inequality. I participated in several campaigns and each one touched my heart deeply. But the one that I was most proud of was the winter action last year where I managed to associate the NGO Beleza do Bem with another NGO that also does a beautiful work in São Paulo – SP called Mão na Massa and thus achieved greater visibility and I got more donors and consequently helped many more people.
What is the next milestone you plan to achieve soon? What else will you surprise the world with in 2023?
I am currently preparing intensely to represent Brazil in the Miss Europe Continental international contest in Naples, Italy. The contest will take place in November this year. I am very excited and honored to have the opportunity to represent my country in an international competition. I hope to succeed in this pageant and be Miss Europe Continental 2023, thus increasing my visibility and reaching more lives through social campaigns.
