As Miss Planet Haiti, how do you use your platform to raise awareness about the importance of a healthy diet and fitness in today’s fast-paced world?
“What’s exciting about today’s world is that everything is easily accessible and shareable. I try to promote a healthy lifestyle by sharing pictures of nutritious meals, showing myself working out at the gym, or just enjoying the outdoors. Having a platform is an incredible way to discuss important topics, and I truly believe it’s one of the best. Most importantly, we should focus on feeling our best in both body and mind and continually strive to be the best version of ourselves!”
Animal cruelty is a global issue. Can you share some of the initiatives you’re passionate about and how you hope to make an impact in this area?
“This issue is close to my heart because I grew up surrounded by different kinds of animals, and I love them dearly. Did you know that somewhere in the world, an animal is abused every 60 seconds? My heart aches just thinking about it. I follow cruelty-free pages that bring awareness, like Cruelty-Free International and World Animal Protection, and I also support cruelty-free makeup brands. From time to time, I sign petitions against animal cruelty and violence. I would never allow anyone to mistreat an animal in my presence. If you see something, say something—do something. My biggest goal is to become a well-known ambassador for this cause and help raise awareness worldwide.”
Social media plays a huge role in shaping perceptions. How do you manage its influence on body image and self-esteem, especially for younger audiences?
“I’m very aware of the power of social media. Its impact can be both positive and negative, especially for young people. I believe that when every move you make is under observation, it’s important to keep your journey as genuine and authentic as possible. Everyone has insecurities, and no one is perfect. I’ll never misrepresent myself or the body image I project. What you see is what you get. I’ve learned to love myself unconditionally, and I hope to show younger generations that they can do the same.”
What are some of your favorite ways to stay fit while maintaining balance in your busy lifestyle?
“I love going to the gym after a long day—it feels like my happy place where I can unwind and let go of stress. Exercising really uplifts my mood and clears my mind. I’ve never felt better than after a good workout session at the end of a busy day. Maintaining a healthy diet also helps, but I make room for some sweets too! It’s important to enjoy what you eat, and for me, that includes the occasional treat.”
If you could promote one key message about body image and self-confidence to your followers, what would it be, and why?
“Don’t be afraid to be who you are and to show that to the world! Taking a step forward and trying will always bring a result, whatever it may be, but holding back only keeps you from the life you’ve dreamed of. Remember, you only need yourself to change your destiny. Let your voice be heard. Good things come to those who work for them.”
