The central theme this season not only highlights the evolution of fashion through time but also emphasises the critical importance of sustainability. The event continues to actively support designers who champion eco-friendly and responsible fashion, reflected in the use of sustainable materials and design approaches aimed at minimising waste and supporting local production.
London Fashion Day serves as a unique platform for emerging designers and brands looking to establish themselves in the UK market. The event offers these talented individuals the opportunity to showcase their collections to a broad audience, marking the beginning of their journey into the British and global fashion scenes. For many, participating in London Fashion Day is the first step towards gaining recognition and building a reputation in the fashion industry.
Fashion as an Emotional Connection
London Fashion Day highlights that sustainability is not merely a trend but a value that impacts everyone. Each collection is more than just fashion; it is an investment in the future. Every piece created by the designers carries a story, and purchasing these items becomes a personal contribution to protecting the environment. This emotional connection deepens the bond between the clothing and its owner, demonstrating that fashion can be both stylish and responsible.
Global Engagement Through Fashion
This event brings together designers from around the world, positioning London as a hub for sustainable fashion. London Fashion Day acts as a global platform for exchanging ideas and new design approaches. Designers from different countries will present their collections, showing how fashion can be both environmentally conscious and culturally significant. This event creates a space where local solutions gain international recognition, fostering cultural connections and advancing the movement towards a more sustainable future.
This season’s inspiration comes from 72-year-old model from New York, Joy Jewett @joyj_silvermaturemodel, who perfectly embodies the idea that fashion transcends time, connecting generations and cultures. Her participation symbolises the harmonious fusion of style and sustainability at every stage of life. The stunning cover for this campaign, featuring her, was captured by the incredibly talented photographer Natalia Tomash @tomash.ph.
The campaign came to life thanks to the hard work of a talented team: makeup artist Helen Anderson @makeupbyhelen, hairstylist Olha Dzhoha @dzhohaolha_vn, videographer Dinara Ostr @dinaraostr, and founder and producer Kostiantyn Lieontiev @konstantin_keka. The model’s wardrobe was provided by Ukrainian brands MOGARDI @mogardi_official and Marta Holod @martaholod, both of which focus on sustainable production.
London Fashion Day is known for its dedication to supporting new talent and promoting the values of sustainable fashion. Our platform offers emerging designers and brands the chance to not only present their work to a wide audience but also strengthen their foothold in the industry by sharing innovative approaches to ethical production and responsible consumption.
