Esther Anaya is a rising star in the global music scene, known for her dynamic presence as a DJ, producer, and performer. With an electrifying career that has taken her to some of the world’s most prestigious stages, she has shared the spotlight with legendary artists and left an indelible mark on the music industry. From opening for Maluma on his European F.A.M.E. Tour to becoming the celebrity resident DJ for the Chargers NFL season, Esther’s journey is a testament to her passion, talent, and relentless drive. In this interview, she reflects on the pivotal moments that have shaped her career, her latest musical ventures, and what fans can look forward to in the future.
You’ve had an incredible journey as a DJ, playing at some of the hottest spots around the world. What has been the most pivotal moment in your career that helped you establish yourself in the industry?
A defining moment in my career was when I had the opportunity to become the opening act for Maluma’s European F.A.M.E. Tour in 2018. Imagine performing on the largest stages next to one of the biggest Latin artists in the world, across 21 cities and 9 countries. It was surreal. I won’t lie; I got butterflies every time I performed because I knew one day I would be in a position to headline my own world tour. I’m beyond grateful for that opportunity and make sure to give the best of myself at each and every show.
We know you’ve been all over the world and performed with so many amazing artists! Can you share some of your most memorable experiences?
I’ve had the opportunity to perform on some of the most iconic stages and share the stage with the likes of Rihanna, Kanye West, Zedd, DJ Snake, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, among many other musical powerhouses. Some of the most iconic venues I’ve recently performed at include Zouk Nightclub LV and E11EVEN Miami, along with world-renowned events such as the NFL Super Bowl 2023, Pro Bowl 2023, F1 CDMX 2022, Copa América at the LA Coliseum 2024, LA Galaxy 2024, and many others. I’ve released music with Snoop Dogg and currently have a yet-to-be-released track with Sean Kingston. I could go on with the list, but I would say these are some of my most memorable moments.
Congratulations on being named the celebrity resident DJ for the Chargers NFL season! How does it feel to combine your passion for music with the excitement of live sports? What can fans expect from your sets at the games?
I am beyond grateful for the opportunity and for the organization’s trust in me to enhance the fan experience. It is heartwarming to be able to interact with all the fans at the stadium and to see their enjoyment during my performances. For every game, I craft my sets to be unique and always give my all. I am excited to continue with the Chargers and can’t wait to see what this season brings. Prayers on making the Super Bowl. Go Bolts!
Besides your new release and your residency with the Chargers, what other projects are you currently working on? Are there any future collaborations or events that your fans should be looking out for?
I have a lot of amazing things happening at this moment and can’t wait to share them all very soon.What I can share is the great honor of being selected to write a song for the country of Ecuador, for nationwide tourism purposes. This is very special to me as I get to embrace my Latin culture and write a love song to Ecuador alongside my father, with whom I’ve always dreamed of releasing a song. I will be performing in front of over 50,000 attendees and for the Ecuadorian government. I will also be performing back at Formula 1 Mexico City in the fall. Stay tuned for me to share the other exciting projects coming this year! And last but not least, a bunch more music is coming your way.
