Kate Alexeeva has always dreamed of creating her own brand. Her dream came true! On her way, the young woman became a model, traveled around the world, and even tried on a crown, as she won Miss Latvia beauty contest
Нou own the reigning Miss Latvia and have a successful modeling career. How has this changed you as a person?
Winning Miss Latvia gave me a platform, which I can use to reach out to people and support good causes! It’s very powerful when many people are following you and your opinion. I can definitely say I’ve become more self-confident and full-filled. I know what I want in life and work hard to reach my goals.
You have chosen to settle in Istanbul for now, why?
I moved to Istanbul three years ago because I fell in love! I mean, with this city’s history, culture and food! Turkey is a beautiful country and Istanbul is its brightest gem!
You are the creator of your own line of skincare. Could you tell us how you discovered the world of beauty products? Who inspired and helped create a competitive beauty line?
I’ve always admired strong women who create brands and build empires! I have worked in the beauty and fashion industry for more than 10 years and collaborated with famous makeup artists all over the world. Since I was a little girl, I always had a dream to create my own brand.\ Beauty box is a trendy concept which comes from the USA and combines 5 to 7 or 8 small-sized products packed in a gift box. This way you can try out different products, and If you like them you can buy regular-sized products in the shop. Modeling involves a lot of traveling and the luggage space is always limited. I find it very convenient to carry small bottles and leave more space for other things. And getting a new gift box every month is just exciting! I believe it is a perfect gift for a woman.
Now that you are also the creator of a popular beauty box, which gives you a chance to study makeup and skincare in-depth. How did you form the contents of each box?
We follow trends and do market research to find the best products for each box. It’s crucial to include a wide range of products, such as makeup, skincare, accessories, perfume etc.
You have visited 56 countries. Which of them impressed you the most?
I loved Indonesia, India and Turkey of course! Can’t wait to discover many more countries. I have a long bucket list!
What emotional and professional experiences would you like to have in the future?
I’m currently working on a big charity project. I think it’s great to help people in need and make their life better! It Makes me more motivated and fulfilled. I also want to expand my brand to different countries! We are thinking about India as it has a huge market and good production facilities!
